When picking the song we wanted to choose people with
different kinds of styles for example Emeli Sande – clown is more passionate
and Tracy Chapmen – fast car is more relax, I choose these singers as they
relate to our genre of singer/songwriter and as they are female it makes it
look more realistic. Once we picked the songs we played them out of a laptop
and recorded on a DSLR camera. The problems we faced was making sure that we
knew the lyrics because I had to start at different points I knew it was going
to be difficult but I didn’t expect how much because when editing the miming
videos together I think the hardest part was matching the words of the song to
the mouth movements, getting it at the right time because I had to put the song
over the top as the location we filmed in echoed to you couldn’t hear the music
that well in the original clip. Next time I think that I would try and get a
wider range of genres, and practicing different genres and find a better
location to film.
